Fly
Four airplanes to choose from
Train, stay proficient, take a local flight, or head somewhere for the weekend without owning an airplane on your own.
Nonprofit flying club · IL48 Shafer Field
More access. More flying. More community.
Our club gives pilots and students access to four aircraft, experienced aviators, social events, and a home base for flying, learning, and spending time around airplanes.
Why join a flying club
Airplanes are better with friends.
Learn
Keep building experience
Work with our club-approved independent instructors, build confidence, and keep moving forward as a pilot.
Belong
Have people to fly with
Hangar time, social events, airport projects, safety discussions, and plenty of people who'd rather be talking about airplanes too.
New to aviation?
You don't have to show up knowing everything.
We welcome pilots at different stages of aviation. If you're still learning, getting back into flying, or simply looking for a place to stay involved, start by talking with us. We'll explain our process and what options are currently available.
