Membership

Come for the airplanes. Stay for the people.

We're a place to fly, learn, stay current, and spend time with people who enjoy aviation.

Flying Members get access to our aircraft after completing the onboarding and checkout requirements that apply to them. We also bring people together through social events, hangar time, safety discussions, and airport projects.

We'll provide current membership information and aircraft rates when you inquire or apply.

The community part matters

We're more than just a scheduling system.

Some of us join to train. Some want a practical way to fly more often. Others are looking for aviation friends, a reason to spend more time at the airport, or a place to keep learning after earning a certificate.

That mix is part of what makes our club work.

Multiple ways to belong

Flying is at the heart of what we do, and there's more than one way to belong.

Flying Member

Our primary membership for people who want to fly

Flying Members complete our onboarding, checkout, and other applicable requirements before scheduling our aircraft.

Ground Crew Member

Another way to be part of our aviation community

Ground Crew is open to aviation enthusiasts age 16 and older, including family members, future pilots, mechanics in training, and pilots taking a break from flying.

  • Join our social events, workdays, hangar activities, and safety discussions
  • Participate in supervised aircraft-care and club projects
  • Stay connected through our club communications and member resources
  • Ride along as a passenger with a Flying Member when appropriate under club and FAA rules
  • Use Ground Crew as a natural path into Flying membership later

Ground Crew is a community membership, not an aircraft-access category. Ground Crew members don't schedule our aircraft or act as pilot in command of our aircraft. Members ages 16–17 participate with parent or guardian involvement.

Common questions

What to know before joining.

Is this a flight school?

No. We provide aircraft access through membership. Members who need instruction can work with one of our club-approved independent instructors.

Can student pilots join?

Yes. We consider student pilots on a case-by-case basis. Your case will be stronger if you already have a training plan, a current medical when required, and an instructor lined up. Aircraft demand and instructor availability also matter, because we want students who join us to have a workable path to flying regularly.

How are flights scheduled and billed?

We schedule our aircraft through AirportSync. Flight time and other applicable charges are billed under our current procedures.

What rules apply to members?

Flying club membership does not replace the rules that already apply to pilots and aircraft. Our members must comply with all applicable FAA requirements and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations, along with our bylaws, operating rules, checkout requirements, scheduling procedures, flight limitations, billing procedures, and aircraft-care requirements.

What if I want to be part of the club but do not want to fly?

Ground Crew membership is designed for that. It gives aviation enthusiasts age 16 and older a way to take part in the social side of OHC, workdays, hangar activities, safety discussions, supervised projects, and other club activities without scheduling or acting as pilot in command of club aircraft.
